The writer has some wry humor and initially gets the ball rolling with grabby descriptive prose. And an interesting story arc. The main character is really fleshed out well. There are some issues with editing - but nothing horrible. This is a tale about a man who loses it after a terrible tragedy. And what ensues in his hope to "fix" things. Via his journaling we unfold broken lives and the journey taken to return to normal life. The tale is told in a jumping about manner that MAY be for effect (the character is "loony"). Or it could also be that the writer had his thoughts in a manner that was not cogent while the tale went through its paces. I cannot really tell after a certain point. It seems a bit of both.
The ending was not so fulfilling (to this reader) and somewhat predictible. It also brought up details not fleshed in plot. It really seems like the writer was paving the way for the next installment in the "Looney" and Gordon show.
If you like a fairly fast paced read with some humor to it - this one is worth a shot. There is mystery and some twists to the tale. Just the last third of the book does not contain as much wry humor as initially set forth in the beginning.
I might give this author another looksee in the future.

Its a great Book. Once I picked it I could not put it down. It kept me reading until the the very end, and keeps you thinking long after you put it down.
I couldn't get into it. There was a lot of jumpimg around and most of it seemed nonsensical to me.
I enjoyed reading this book. There are many times while reading this book, I did not want to put it down and wanted to continue reading until I knew what happened next. It is a very easy read and had some very interesting twists and turns. The ending was very interesting and I like the way things turned out. I would definitely read this author again.
A 60 year old man should be ashamed of his wording, pervertedness and especially he should be ashamed to dedicate this to two of his deceased female grandchildren. All he talks about is sexual and its just horrible. I wouldnt have bought the book if i knew the continent was so perverted. Don't waste your money if you don't want to hear about penis and sex through the whole book. Kind of reminds me of a porno. Which I wouldn't have bought!!!
When I started this book I initially thought the disturbing narrative (and by that I mean the circumstances of terrible tragedy) would wear thin or put me off after awhile but for some reason the MC kept pulling at me. I remained with the story though and glad I did even though it jumped around at times. I overlooked a few editing problems and the fact the MC is crazy as a loon. I found I liked the dry humor though. I appreciated the fast pace which kept the story moving forward and gained respect for the writer with each page who had to have put a great deal of thought into the way he presented the story to the reader. It's apparent the writer has a way with characters and is quite adept at developing them. Like other reviewers already stated, I would definitely pick up another read by this author again.
